Aimee Barnes is a Partner at Allotrope Partners. Aimee has worked for more than a decade on climate change and environmental sustainability issues in the public, private, and non-profit sectors. Prior to joining Allotrope, Aimee was appointed by California Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr. to lead the state's international climate, energy, and environmental work, including the negotiation and execution of climate change and clean energy agreements with China, Mexico, and others, participation in the Paris climate talks, and the development and execution of a subnational-level climate agreement among 130 state and regional level jurisdictions on long-term decarbonization goals. Prior to joining CalEPA, Aimee worked as a climate change advisor to foreign governments, including the United Arab Emirates and the United Kingdom. Earlier in her career, Aimee managed U.S. Regulatory Affairs at EcoSecurities, and coordinated California advocacy and Latino outreach for the Natural Resources Defense Council. Aimee holds a degree in Environmental Studies from Dartmouth College and an MPA in Environmental Science and Policy from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA).
