Celine Steer

Celine Steer brings 10 years of international sustainability experience. She has worked with private equity firms, government agencies and companies in the real estate, retail, healthcare, and food amd agriculture industries. At Corporate Citizenship, Steer supports companies in their understanding and integration of social impact and climate-related topics and accompanies them in their submission to raters and rankers, including DJSI and CDP. Previously, she worked at the Global Reporting Initiative on advancing global public policy for sustainability transparency and on business and human rights. Steer also worked as a sustainability consultant in Europe, where she supported companies in understanding and engaging with their stakeholders as the foundation of the materiality assessment and overall sustainability strategy and communications. She holds a master’s degree in sustainable development from Sciences Po Paris, a master's degree in International Relations from the Geneva School of Diplomacy and International Relations and a bachelor's degree in communications from the University of Texas at San Antonio. She has contributed to publications including the linkage document between GRI and the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights (2016), Human Rights Performance Disclosure in the Mining, Energy and Financial Sectors (2016) and a UNESCO report on Conflict and Education (2011).
