Derek Top

Derek Top is a senior editor and program director for VERGE. For more than a dozen years, he has been covering technology trends and producing top-notch business events. Most recently, he was community manager with Agrion, a global network for cleantech professionals, helping connect entrepreneurs, investors and service providers through webcasts and onsite conferences. Previously, Top was research director for Opus Research, producing in-depth reports and managing a network of blogs on mobile and voice communications. He also worked as events editor for InformationWeek, senior associate editor with Optimize magazine and managing editor with Streaming Media Inc.
