Katie Ryan

Katie’s work at Trellis Group, where she serves as executive director of the annual GreenBiz event and leads the Sustainability Communicators group within Trellis Network, centers on thought leadership for corporate sustainability practitioners. She was part of the inaugural corporate sustainability team at NRG, where she helped set the energy sector’s first science-based targets aligned with a 1.5°C pathway. Katie went on to bring structure and scale as COO of an Al Gore-backed climate tech startup, and has led communications efforts across the tech and energy sectors. She applies systems-based thinking to support inclusive, empowered action on the climate crisis — and recharges by trail running, jumping in rivers and camping (ideally all at once).
