Mike Schade is director of the Mind the Store campaign, a program of Toxic-Free Future that challenges the nation’s leading retailers to transform the marketplace away from hazardous chemicals and towards safer alternatives. Mike was previously the markets campaign coordinator with the Center for Health, Environment & Justice (CHEJ), a national environmental health organization where he led national campaigns to phase out toxic chemicals in products. Prior to CHEJ, he was director of the Buffalo office of Citizens’ Environmental Coalition, a New York statewide environmental health organization. He lives in the Hudson Valley of New York and received a bachelors degree in environmental studies from the University at Buffalo.
