William Theisen
William Theisen is the Global Commercial Head of Nature and Tech-Based Solutions (NTBS) within Schneider Electric’s Sustainability Business, following Schneider’s acquisition of EcoAct in 2023. With over 15 years of experience in carbon markets, he brings deep expertise and leadership across Europe, North America, Asia, and Africa.
William began his sustainability career in 2009, consulting for the pioneering sustainable fashion brand Veja, before moving into carbon markets at the Gold Standard Foundation in Geneva. He later supported the scale-up of carbon reduction projects in emerging markets with Nexus for Development and GERES.
In 2015, William joined EcoAct in Paris and went on to launch its North American operations in 2017. As CEO of EcoAct North America, he led the region’s growth while advancing innovation and quality in net-zero strategy and carbon credit solutions.
He holds a degree from Boston University and an MBA from HEC Paris.
