Cal Krause
Cal Krause leads the work at Trane Technologies, which manufactures HVAC and refrigeration systems, to reduce emissions for key materials like steel, aluminum and copper by 40 percent by 2030. He works with procurement to integrate sustainability into sourcing and with communications teams to explain to customers the benefit of lower -carbon products.
In 2024, Krause identified the three major levers to reach this commitment: sourcing low-carbon materials, increasing circularity and supporting supplier sustainability efforts. Krause led Trane to join First Movers Coalition and SteelZero, coalitions that work to decarbonize steel and other hard-to-abate industries.
Krause has an undergraduate degree in industrial and operations engineering with a minor in environmental science.
