Ella Parekh

Ella Parekh manages MetLife’s carbon offset, carbon removal and renewable energy strategies, which support the financial services firm’s carbon-neutrality and net-zero efforts. She also co-leads engagement across 200 global suppliers, oversees more than 20 employee green teams worldwide and plays a central role in MetLife’s sustainability reporting and governance processes.

Since joining in 2022, Parekh has advanced into a leader of enterprise-wide sustainability initiatives. She has driven measurable impact across a broad range of climate priorities at MetLife.

For example, Parekh led a global EcoChallenge that touched more than 3,000 employees worldwide, generating 118,000 sustainability actions and translating into more than 147,000 training hours devoted to related topics. She has also championed tree-planting efforts across MetLife markets globally, helping plant tens of thousands of trees to support local communities and ecosystems.
