Eradajere Oleita is a single-use waste consultant and environmental justice advocate with more than a decade of experience in nonprofit management and small business support.
She founded and leads Chippin’ In, the Chip Bag Project, an initiative dedicated to upcycling traditionally non-recyclable waste like Mylar packaging.
Oleita partnered with 15 businesses to launch Detroit’s first chip bag recycling kiosks. From 2023 to 2025, the effort diverted over 2.5 million pounds of Mylar and similar non-recyclable materials from landfills. That translates into the prevention of an estimated 1,500 metric tons of carbon dioxide equivalent emissions, based on waste-to-landfill calculations from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
