Giovanna Eichner
Giovanna Eichner leverages the investment firm’s influence as a shareholder to push companies to adopt climate mitigation plans and policies.
Eichner’s dialogues and shareholder proposals have convinced several major corporations to commit to cutting their carbon footprint and publishing climate transition plans.
For example, her engagement with Columbia Sportswear led the outdoor apparel retailer to improve energy efficiency across over 1 million square feet of its owned and operated Oregon locations. Eichner also ensured that Columbia annually reports its progress toward plans to reduce emissions, including a pledge to secure 100 percent renewable electricity for the company’s Taiwan office through 2028.
In 2026, Eichner, a Fulbright recipient, met with 35 companies and filed 14 shareholder resolutions to achieve five new policy commitments at companies across high-emitting sectors. One company currently on her radar: AI powerhouse NVIDIA.
