Kailey Peterson

Kailey Peterson co-created the supplier decarbonization program at plumbing fixtures company Kohler. 

In the past year, Peterson established an internally applied price on carbon for Scope 3 activities, supported a project to include a carbon price for Scope 1 and 2 emissions as part of Kohler’s capital planning process and launched a renewables program for suppliers. 

When Peterson took on a Kohler procurement role in 2023, there was no official supplier sustainability program, so she built the business and measurement processes to track emissions reductions from scratch. Those efforts yielded over 40,000 metric tons of emissions reductions by 2024. 

Peterson joined Kohler in 2020. She has an undergraduate degree in supply chain management.
