Paige Chase
Paige Chase oversees NBCUniversal’s single-largest sustainability initiative, which covers three major television productions: “Chicago Fire,” “Chicago PD” and “Chicago MED.”
The film industry has a carbon footprint twice the size of the aviation sector. While a growing number of film and television sets offer composting and waste diversion, Chase has pushed further by advocating sustainable catering, choosing hybrid or electric vehicles, replacing diesel generators with battery and solar systems, promoting LED lighting retrofits, using solar-powered production trailers and more.
Chase has worked with studio partners to add expectations for on-set practices, including power metering, waste management and installing EV charging infrastructure into production agreements.
From 2024–26, she handled sustainability across at least three other productions: “Captain America: Brave New World,” “Murdaugh: Death in the Family” and “Cape Fear.” As eco-specialist for all eight episodes of “Murdaugh,” Chase supported composting, waste reduction, carbon auditing and crew education.
