Stephanie Taviner
Stephanie Taviner co-developed SAP’s supplier engagement program, partnering with the enterprise software company’s procurement team to shift spend-based greenhouse gas emissions estimates for top suppliers to primary data collected directly from those companies. She also manages SAP’s work to encourage emissions reductions by suppliers that are earlier in their sustainability journeys.
Within SAP, Taviner created sustainability annexes for contracts, supported the inclusion of greater weighting for sustainability in bidding processes and encouraged buy-in from the company’s chief procurement officer. That contributed to SAP’s 14 percent reduction in carbon intensity per revenue for purchased and capital goods the company reported for 2025.
In 2025, Taviner became the youngest board director of the Institute of Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability, a network for UK professionals. She has co-authored research on Gen Z professionals’ visions of sustainable corporate futures, building towards a PhD in 2027.
