Tomas Monti strategically aligned ESG initiatives with key commercial priorities, supporting new revenue generation from high-value customer wins and strategic partnerships. His efforts drove a 42 percent composite improvement for Expedia Group across ESG ratings and buoyed the company’s standing with ESG funds, increasing those holdings by 31 percent.

Monti supported Expedia Group in developing net-zero targets validated under the Science Based Targets initiative’s 1.5 degrees Celsius pathway. The company recently reported a 19 percent reduction in Scope 1, 2 and 3 greenhouse gas emissions from a 2022 baseline — progress driven in part by data center consolidation and supplier engagement efforts.

Prior to Expedia Group, Monti built investment firm Galaxy Digital’s ESG program and produced the crypto sector’s first ESG report. He led climate‑risk analyses supporting Galaxy’s initial public offering, calculated the inaugural greenhouse gas inventory, and engineered a strategy to achieve an 80 percent renewable‑energy mix for bitcoin mining by co-locating with renewable energy assets.
