Tyler Cobian

Tyler Cobian developed innovative tools to automate the life-cycle assessment process for biotech company Amgen. The in-house application generates cradle-to-grave evaluations for thousands of products, providing the company with a deeper understanding of its environmental impact.

The software reduced modeling time of life-cycle assessments from six months to on-demand estimates. These estimates are product- and market-specific; they can be used for external reporting and to inform opportunities for eco-design within the company at a time when interest in data from the biotech industry is rising.

With degrees in economics and environmental science, Cobian cultivated his expertise in life-cycle assessments during previous roles in regenerative agriculture, apparel and biotech.
