The Emerging Leaders Program connects and cultivates the next generation of diverse sustainability professionals. Since 2017, the program has expanded opportunity for hundreds of talented and historically underrepresented young professionals within the sustainability industry by:
• Bridging access to industry-leading insight
• Facilitating connections with peers, mentors, and subject-matter experts
• Providing a platform to share nascent perspectives
• Investing in ongoing professional development and career growth

Application Details
Eligibility
To apply, applicants must:
• Currently reside in the United States, Canada, or Mexico
• Possess a background or cultural identity underrepresented within the sustainability industry
• Have less than 10 years of professional experience
• Plan to attend all three days of Trellis Impact 25 (Oct 28-30, 2025 – San Jose, CA) along with a virtual pre-event onboarding on October 9th 2025 @ 7pm EDT / 4pm PDT
Applications submitted before June 30, 2025 @ 11:59pm PDT will receive priority consideration
Submissions will be accepted through July 14, 2025 11:59pm PDT
Applicants will be notified of final decisions by July 31, 2025
Engagement Sessions
For more insight, feel free to join us on Thursday June 26th at 7pm EDT / 4pm PDT for the Trellis Impact 25 Emerging Leaders Information Session. There, we will have Emerging Leaders on hand to talk through the application and program experience as well as answer any questions. Attendance is welcome, but not required, and will not be considered as part of the selection process.
