Builders’ Best Practices Guide to Hot and Humid Climates

The U.S. Department of Energy released this free online guide to aid in the construction of energy-efficient homes in hot, humid climates. Featuring sections for homeowners, property managers, site planners, and designers, the guide helps builders create homes that achieve 30% energy savings in space conditioning and water heating. It also features an array of case studies.

The guide is first in a series of building best practices handbooks developed by the U.S. DOE.
