Business and Biodiversity: A Handbook for Corporate Action
A follow-up to WBCSD’s 1997 book, Business and Biodiversity — A Guide for the Private Sector, this handbook makes the business case for biodiversity, touching on current biodiversity issues for business, corporate biodiversity strategies, and key biodiversity resources. The report argues that triple-bottom-line business goals are consistent with the three objectives of the Convention on Biological Diversity: conservation, sustainable use, and equitable sharing of benefits. Illustrated by case studies.
The report’s companion volume, Biodiversity Resources, provides the resources required to build corporate biodiversity capacity. It covers global biodiversity-related conventions, the world’s conservation union, and the major biodiversity-related business initiatives. A PDF of this document can be downloaded here.
