Conservation Tillage Survey Results
Low-till or no-till agriculture may be good for the environment, but what do farm lenders think about the financial benefits of the practice? That’s what Monsanto Company wanted to find out when it commissioned a study by Marketing Horizons, an agricultural marketing research firm. This Web page lays out the results of that 2002 survey, which found that “farm lenders recognize that conservation tillage produces higher profits and they overwhelmingly support their customers’ participation in no-till or other reduced tillage systems.” Read on for facts and figures.
