Enhancing Our Commitment to a Sustainable Future 2010

Nearly 100 CEOs from some of the nation’s largest companies outlined theiur sustainability achievements and best practices in Enhancing Our Commitment to a Sustainable Future 2010, the Business Roundtable’s annual report.
The report is part of the group’s efforts to promote, measure and share sustainability best practices. Business Roundtable member companies represent virtually every sector of the economy, with nearly $6 trillion in annual revenues and more than 12 million employees.
“When it comes to sustainability practices, our members are worried about more than just the bottom line,” John J. Castellani, president of Business Roundtable, said in a statement. “Our businesses work each and every day to make their operations more efficient, their products more sustainable and their communities greener and more prosperous. While others talk about sustainability, our companies are out there leading the way.”
Business Roundtable members include Accenture, the Coca-Cola Co., Duke Energy, DuPont, General Mills, IBM, KPMG, Macy’s, Office Depot, Owens Corning, Siemens Corp., Verizon, Walmart and Xerox, among many others.
