Enhancing Supply Chain Performance with Environmental Cost Information
The benefits of well-designed environmental accounting are documented in this report from the U.S. EPA’s Environmental Accounting Project. It describes how three companies — a large utility, a chemical company, and a window manufacturer — improved supply chain management practices by “determining the financial impact of business activities that have an impact on a company’s environmental performance.” The report includes tables and graphs showing the steps each company took to implement environmental accounting.
