Food Production and Environmental Stewardship: Examples of How Food Companies Work with Growers
This U.S. EPA report summarizes efforts by 40 food companies to influence their growers’ agricultural practices. Not all of these efforts were launched with environmental goals, but several of them aimed to reduce the environmental impact of farms, vineyards, and ranches. In some cases, the environmental benefit was secondary to economic and health benefits.
