GE’s 2008 Ecomagination Report

GE details the growth of its ecomagination portfolio to $17 billion in sales for 2008 as well as the firm’s progress toward a series of increasingly stringent environmental performance goals in this 34-page report.
Released today, the report shows how far the company has come since first setting environmental, green revenue and cleantech investment targets in 2005.
Highlights include a reduction in operational greenhouse gas intensity — the ratio of GHG emissions to company revenue — of 41 percent, an absolute reduction in GHG emissions of 13 percent and a drop in energy intensity of 37 percent, all by the close of 2008 in comparison to the baseline year of 2004.
