Goldman Sachs SUSTAIN Focus List

Goldman Sachs analyzed more than 120 ESG leaders from five different industries and found that companies in four of the sectors outperformed the MSCI world Index by an average of 25 percent since August 2005.

Seventy-two percent of the companies on the list outperformed industry peers. The outperforming industries included: energy, mining and steel, food and beverages, and media.

The GS SUSTAIN focus list is aimed at long-term, long only performance, with a low turnover of ideas.

It incorporates 21 identified winners from mature industries, which are set to undergo structural change or maintain a leadership position, and 23 attractively valued winners from emergent industries. Average upside to our analysts’ price targets is 15 percent.
