Grey Pinstripes With Green Ties
Despite the heightened environmental awareness by the private sector, courses on business and the environment are still relatively scarce within U.S. business schools, according to a new study.“Business-environment interactions remain outside the mainstream of business school thinking and analysis,” write the authors of “Grey Pinstripes with Green Ties,” an inventory of business schools just published by World Resources Institute. “Few schools incorporate environmental topics in operations management and accounting courses beyond regulatory compliance. Finance, marketing, and international business courses are not covering environment-business topics.” The report is available from World Resources Institute online.
