Implementation Guide for the Code of Environmental Management Principles for Federal Agencies
The Code of Environmental Management is a collection of five principles and performance objectives. Together they provide a foundation for federal agencies that are working toward effective environmental management.
This guide is designed to assist federal facility managers and staff in implementing the code. It describes each of the code’s principles and how it relates to environmental management systems and ties into other EPA programs. It also provides general information on environmental management systems.
The guide was published in March 1997.
