Linking Up GRI and CDP

“Linking Up GRI and CDP: How do the Global Reporting Initiative Reporting Guidelines match with the Carbon Disclosure Project questions?”

GRI and CDP have agreed to collaborate in the development of Sector Supplements and feedback on each other’s guidelines/questionnaires. This will lead to the organizations seeking opportunities to align their questions in order to drive more and better quality reporting, while also providing GRI Working Group members guidance for drafting sector reporting indicators.

The accompanying table includes relevant GRI G3 Profile Disclosures and Performance Indicators and relevant CDP questions from the 2010 survey where overlap was found. This will allow reporters to use or adapt the same data in both reporting processes.

The linkage table will be updated with every GRI Guidelines revision or new version of the CDP information request.
