New Energy for Campuses: Energy Saving Policies for Colleges and Universities
This October 2005 report details case studies of more than 30 universities in 24 states that have implemented a variety of programs ranging from improving the energy efficiency of classrooms, installing solar arrays on campus buildings, constructing on-campus windmills, and converting university vehicles to use cleaner alternative fuels.
The report outlines the energy cost savings and the GHG reductions these programs have created, details a menu of strategies that other universities can take to create their own GHG reduction plans, and lists contact information for university officials responsible for these programs.
