A New Norm in Catalogs
In 2001, Norm Thompson Outfitters, a mail-order purveyor of outdoor gear, switched to paper with a minimum of 10% post-consumer recycled content in all of its catalogs. The switch was the culmination of the company’s partnership with the nonprofit Alliance for Environmental Innovation. This 46-page report describes how the company made the switch, including how suppliers and customers have responded.
