Smart 2020: Enabling the low carbon economy in the information age

This report by the Climate Group highlights the opportunities available for the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) sector to play a key role in creating a low carbon society.

The report quantified direct emissions from ICT products and services using future growth projections. It also considered emissions reductions in other sectors that could result in ICT innovations. Some of these opportunities identified by the report include:

— Smart logistics 

— Smart buildings

— Smart  grids
