Sustainable Strategies for Value Creation
This study of seven leading multinational companies, prepared by a Norwegian consultancy, suggests that environmental policies bring quantifiable benefits to shareholder value. The two-year, multisector study found that improving environmental compliance and developing environmental products can enhance earnings per share and profitability. The report’s conclusions are based on research of a consortium that includes Deutsche Bank, Electrolux, Gerling, ICI, Monsanto, Unilever, and Volvo.
