Vehicle Recycling Manual

The Washington Department of Ecology’s “Vehicle Recycling Manual” highlights best management practices for recyclers and gives suggestions for reducing waste in each component of vehicle recycling, from emptying the oil pan to disposing of antifreeze. It describes all facets of a vehicle-recycling operation, from storage of hazardous materials to contaminated soil to Materials Safety Data Sheets. The guide also covers what to do in emergencies and for spills. Finally, it lists state resources for disposing of hazardous wastes and auto parts.
