About the session

What’s covered

Is the EV industry adequately addressing vehicle lifecycle emissions, advancing battery innovations and increasing lithium refining across the U.S.?

Reducing road-transport emissions requires more than just manufacturing EVs. It requires a comprehensive look at the entire supply chain, particularly battery production. Battery innovations are critical to enhancing driving and charging efficiency while reducing the emissions associated with battery production. Additional, domestic lithium refining is needed to meet industry-wide targets. These efforts must coincide with automakers taking a holistic approach to reducing manufacturing emissions. In this session, experts explore how the automotive industry is approaching reducing vehicles’ embodied emissions — from the battery to the shell.
