About the session

What’s covered

Do people and planet really benefit if we build a circular economy on a foundation of sub-optimal materials? How can safer chemistry, innovative materials, and a circular economy work hand-in-hand to achieve a sustainable future?

If circularity aims to keep materials in use across multiple life cycles, then prioritizing safe, reusable materials free from hazardous chemicals is essential. This session will explore the evolution of healthy materials programs and chemical “Red Lists,” providing attendees with practical tools for selecting materials. Speakers will also highlight the critical need for ingredient transparency and traceability to ensure performance, safety, and compliance as materials move through multiple uses.
