In recent years we have seen a critical pivot point in the way built environment practitioners are responding to the climate crisis, from relying on climate change mitigation as the foremost climate policy, towards adaptation that aims to manage and adjust to the ongoing impacts of climate change. Resilience efforts include upgrading infrastructure to withstand extreme weather events and increasing organizational preparedness to the changing climate.
