In 2025, the number of corporate and investor transition plans continues to grow. Yet only 8% of focused companies disclose a decarbonization strategy that meets all ‘credible’ criteria, and just 2% of major emitters surveyed have disclosed plans to shift capital away from high-carbon assets.
This training focuses on 1) credibility, how plans demonstrate coherent strategy, governance, and financial linkage; and 2) investor decision-usefulness, which frameworks and elements consistently support investment, risk, and stewardship decisions. The discussion will investigate corporate design and investor interpretation to surface where intentions align, diverge, or get lost.
