Visit True Garden Food Factory with Stephen Ritz of Green Bronx Machine
What’s covered
Join your host Stephen Ritz, founder of Green Bronx Machine, for a tour of True Garden, often called The 8th Wonder of the World, a solar-powered, water-conserving vertical aeroponic food farm that is the first of its kind. Only 15 minutes from the JW Marriott Desert Ridge, this 4,500 sq. ft. state of the art, climate controlled greenhouse — smaller than an NBA basketball court — grows 220,000 lbs of vegetables per year, more food than 10 acres of land, is a global foodie, urban-farming destination. See the 70,000 plants True Garden grows on 328 vertical tower gardens at any given moment – year round in the middle of the desert where temperatures can be in excess of 120 degrees – and learn how you can get involved on a corporate, community, school or home level to grow healthy food. Come hungry, pick your own morning snack, and taste the difference.
