Alison Partie

AVP, Sustainability
L'Oreal Groupe
Alison Partie leads the Net Zero strategy for L’Oreal North America, where she is responsible for developing solutions to reduce carbon emissions across L’Oreal North America’s footprint. As part of this mission, she is also responsible for the development of programmatic solutions with external partners, identifying convened spaces where L’Oreal can participate and contribute its leadership, and standing up new industry collaborations. In this role, Alison reports to the Chief Sustainability Officer of North America, transversally supporting every division and function.

Alison has spent the last decade working across sustainability, environmental planning, and social impact in the academic, non-profit, civil society and corporate space. Five of those years have been at L’Oreal, where she played an integral part in achieving 100% renewable energy for all owned and operated sites in North America, managing L’Oreal’s cradle-to-cradle certification program that led to the certification of 600+ products in two years, and achieving LEEDx2 and WELL Platinum certification at L’Oreal’s El Segundo office. She has jointly developed public/private/not-for-profit partnerships that address recycling access, watershed stewardship and green infrastructure, nature restoration and environmental justice in communities across North America. Her expertise is in sustainability strategy and action plan development, engineering technical sustainability solutions, and deploying programmatic partnerships that achieve shared goals. Alison holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Health Sciences and is a Doctoral Candidate in Environmental Science and Engineering, both from the University of California, Los Angeles.
