Amanda Jordan is the Circular Economy Administrator for the City of Phoenix, where she leads cross-departmental efforts to accelerate circular economy initiatives citywide. With over a decade of experience at the intersection of sustainability, innovation, and strategic design, Amanda works to position Phoenix as a national leader in circular economy development through partnerships, education, and enterprise support. She currently oversees programming at the 27th Avenue Resource Innovation Campus and collaborates with key partners, including the Ellen MacArthur Foundation and the U.S. Plastics Pact, to advance policy and innovation.
Before her current role, Amanda served as the City’s Circular Economy Project Manager. She held leadership positions at Arizona State University’s Rob & Melani Walton Sustainability Solutions Service and RISN Incubator, where she helped build capacity among entrepreneurs and stakeholders to adopt circular practices and design end-to-end solutions. Her professional background also spans environmental research, community engagement, and creative industries, equipping her with a dynamic, systems-based approach to problem-solving.
Amanda holds a Master of Sustainable Solutions from Arizona State University and a BBA in Strategic Design and Management from Parsons School of Design. She is passionate about creating innovative pathways for sustainable economic development and translating complex ideas into practical, community-driven solutions.
