Andrew Alcorta is a Senior Director at the Center for Green Market Activation, where he leads efforts to develop market mechanisms to decarbonize materials production with a focus on the chemicals and cement & concrete sectors.
Andrew previously served as a Senior Advisor to the Department of Energy on industrial policy and commercialization of low-carbon projects. Prior to his time at DOE, Andrew was a Partner at The Boston Consulting Group (BCG), where he worked with clients across heavy industry and manufacturing to develop growth strategies and build demand signals for low-carbon products.
Andrew has a BA in Government from Harvard University. He has published articles on the critical role of demand aggregation to decarbonize heavy industry, led the development of a DOE supply chain risk management framework, and oversaw drafting of DOE’s contribution to the 2024 White House Quadrennial Supply Chain Review.
Andrew lives in Sugar Hill, New Hampshire with his wife and daughter.
