Ben Jordan
Over the years, Ben participated actively in Coca-Cola’s involvement with a number of leading environmental organizations, including Business for Social Responsibility (BSR), the Coalition for Environmentally Responsible Economies (CERES), World Wildlife Fund (WWF) and The Nature Conservancy (TNC). He sat on the Ellen MacArthur Foundation’s New Plastics Economy Advisory Board, Steering Committee for the Consumer Goods Forum’s (CGF) Plastic Waste Coalition and Steering Board of the World Economic Forum (WEF) Global Plastic Action Partnership
Ben is a Senior Advisory to Clear Strategy, Inc., a public affairs and sustainability consultancy, and has teaching appointments at Emory University and Georgia Tech, where is Professor of the Practice in the Jimmy & Rosalyn Carter School of Public Policy. He is a citizen member of the Metro North Georgia Water Planning District Governing Board and Advisory Board of Chattahoochee Riverkeeper.
Ben has Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Civil & Environmental Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). He has a Ph.D. in Public Policy (Environmental Policy specialty) from Georgia Tech, where he sits on an Arts Advisory Board.
Ben lives in Decatur, Georgia, with his wife, Mary Beth, and sons, Jack (20) and Parker (18), where he served as a founding member of the City of Decatur Environmental Sustainability Board, helping drive efforts in one of metro Atlanta’s most progressive municipalities.
Ben’s childhood on a peach farm in rural Georgia led to his interest in conservation and his career in the sustainability field. In his free time, he enjoys fishing, golfing, traveling with family, and just about anything that gets him outside in nature.
