Brian London
The organization works tirelessly to advance sustainability and circularity in global textile markets while defending the industry against well-intentioned but misguided regulatory proposals that would dismantle functioning reuse economies.
In his day job, Brian runs one of North America’s largest buyers, sorters, and exporters of post-consumer textiles. Whitehouse & Schapiro moves more than 250 million pounds of used clothing and textiles a year to global reuse markets, repurposers and fiber markets with warehouses in Baltimore, St. Louis, Miami, San Jose, Costa Rica and recently with a Southern California expansion.
A Baltimore native, Brian holds degrees in Mathematics and Comparative Literature from Cornell and an MD from Weill Cornell Medical College before returning to the family business: a fifth-generation continuation of a story that started in 1907.
