Cal Krause is currently the Operational Impacts Program Manager at Trane Technologies, which manufactures HVAC and refrigeration systems.
In this role, Cal leads the work to reduce emissions for key materials like steel, aluminum and copper by 40 percent by 2030. He collaborates closely with procurement and operations on efforts focused on sourcing low-carbon materials, increasing circularity, and supporting supplier sustainability. His leadership led Trane Technologies to join the First Movers Coalition and SteelZero, both of which aim to decarbonize steel and other hard-to-abate industries.
Cal also supports the implementation of key sustainability commitments, such as sourcing renewable energy, fleet electrification, and water stewardship.
Cal holds a degree in Industrial and Operations Engineering with a minor in Environmental Science from the University of Michigan. His work has been recognized by the Trellis Group as one of the 30 Under 30: Rising Stars in Climate for 2025.
