Caroline Spears is the founder and director of Climate Cabinet, which identifies state and local elections with the greatest opportunity for climate impact. Using cutting-edge data science and on-the-ground expertise, Climate Cabinet’s “Moneyball” approach helps leaders run effective campaigns, win elections, and legislate strong climate policy.
Before founding Climate Cabinet, Caroline worked in solar project finance, where she analyzed six gigawatts of solar projects across eight markets, representing ~$7.2 billion in solar investment. Her leadership and vision have earned her recognition as one of Forbes’ 30 Under 30, one of Grist Magazine’s #Grist50 climate visionaries, and a finalist for the Pritzker Emerging Environmental Genius Award. She has also been awarded prestigious fellowships, including the Mulago Fellowship and New Media Ventures.
Caroline’s work has been featured in Forbes Magazine, NBC News, Volts, and CNN. She holds both a B.S. and an M.S. in Atmosphere and Energy Engineering from Stanford University.
