Chad is the Senior Sustainability Transformation Manager for Weyerhaeuser Company. In this role, he serves on the Raw Materials Leadership team to ensure the responsible sourcing of wood into Weyerhaeuser manufacturing operations and to maximize the value of mill by-products to the Company’s financial performance. Chad manages the company’s SFI and PEFC certification programs and conformance with regulations such as the European Union Deforestation Regulation. He also serves on the company’s Energy Strategy Leadership team to reduce both the cost and greenhouse gas emissions impact of mill energy systems.
Chad is the current Board Chair of FIND Outdoors, the Southeast’s leader in providing access to public lands through exceptional recreational experiences. FIND Outdoors inspires people to connect with nature through well-managed outdoor recreation sites, campgrounds, visitor centers, guided tours, and educational and outdoor opportunities for all ages and abilities.
He is a North Carolina native, registered Professional Engineer, and loves the outdoors, cooking and playing music. Chad is neither a forester nor biologist, but has learned enough to be dangerous, so keep that in mind during our discussions today.
