Chrissy has expertise in developing biodiversity monitoring strategies and collaborations with indigenous communities, corporations, NGOs, and governments. She has developed projects in over 45 countries to measure and monitor biodiversity, serving a variety of stakeholders.
She is now spearheading the expansion of Map of Life, a biodiversity intelligence company pioneering the integration of cutting-edge technology and ecological science to transform how the world monitors and protects nature. Spun out of over a decade of research leadership at the Yale Center for Biodiversity and Global Change, Map of Life leverages AI, remote sensing, UAVs, and in-situ ecological data to generate near-real-time, scalable insights into species distributions and biodiversity trends.
