Cristina Gil White

Cristina is interim CEO of GRI. In September 2024, she stepped up from her role as Chief Operational Officer, with a mandate to finalize and implement the organizational strategy. As COO, Cristina has led GRI’s commercial operations, marketing & stakeholder relations. Prior to this, she served for almost three years on the GRI Supervisory Board, was Chief Sustainability and Communications Officer at Suzano, and Vice-President of Sustainability at Orbia. Alongside her extensive sustainability and leadership corporate experience, Cristina has held several senior positions in the non-profit world, in sectors that range from environmental conservation and education to poverty alleviation. This has included roles with The Nature Conservancy, Rare Conservation, Fundacion EDUCA and Pronatura Noreste. Cristina is trained as a chemist and holds a MSc in Environmental Science. A board member of the World Environment Center, Cristina has previously held non-executive positions with publicly listed companies and NGOs. She has worked in Mexico, the U.S. and Brazil and is now based in Spain.
