
Daniel Roesler

Daniel Roesler is the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at UtilityAPI, which he founded in 2014. With a deep commitment to advancing customer utility data accessibility, Daniel has been instrumental in driving UtilityAPI’s growth and shaping its technological vision. Daniel is also a subject matter expert on data access, providing technical input to many standards and regulatory proceedings, serving as the vice-chair on the Green Button Alliance board, and currently leading LFEnergy’s Carbon Data Specification Consortium (CDSC) working group on customer data.
Before joining UtilityAPI, Daniel worked as a project engineer for a solar and energy management company, as the CTO of a fitness app start-up, and as a project engineer for an air emissions testing company.
In his free time, Daniel volunteers for the League of Women Voters, where he is on the board of directors in Austin as the Voters Guide Editor. He also maintains multiple open-source privacy and security projects, showcasing his commitment to digital safety and transparency. Daniel has a degree in chemical engineering from the University of Texas at Austin.
