David Mindham

David Mindham is the Director, Regulatory Affairs and Market Development for EDP Renewables. In that role, he oversees a team covering RTO and regulatory strategy for North America. He serves on the Board of Directors of Americans for a Clean Energy Grid, IEEE-USA, Clean Grid Alliance, and Southern Renewable Energy Association. Before his current role, he has held positions in RTO strategy, FERC strategy, and transmission planning at ITC Holdings Corp. He has successfully negotiated interconnection agreements that have brought over 3 GW of resources online throughout the Midwest.

He has a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Iowa State University, an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Michigan Tech University, a master’s focused in Management from Harvard University Extension School, a Certificate in Public Relations Strategy from Cornell University, and has taken graduate courses in economics and finance from Johns Hopkins. He is a Senior Member of IEEE, a registered Professional Engineer in Michigan, and a Project Management Professional. David lives in Northville, MI, with his wife and two sons.
