Policy background in municipal finance, affordable housing, pensions, clean energy and community development including public private partnerships. Change agent assuming leadership roles in turnaround situations with experience in strategic planning, staffing and governance including DEIA, audit, finance and regulation. Inspired to take my business experience and use it to efficiently accomplish policy objectives on time and budget.

Life before full-time public service included various positions of leadership in the investment management industry that allowed me to service a global array of clients ranging from state pension funds, corporate investors, foundations and endowments. Responsibilities included client communications, marketing, sales, portfolio review and investment analysis.
My husband and I have lived in Burlingame for 25 years with our two daughters who attended local public schools and then college at the University of Wisconsin, Madison. One is a public high school history teacher and the other is working in investment consulting. Personal interests include art, travel, golf, innovative historic preservation, and sensible public policy. I am a seventh generation California resident with a deep appreciation of our beautiful and unique Bay Area.
